Spiritual Teacher and Healer

Lorraine Michaels

I was born on Long Island in New York. I came into this world remembering where I came from and having a great love for God. When I was a young child, I would spend countless hours outside in the Florida sunshine, where I grew up, laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds and contemplating who and what God was as I talked to Him about everything.

I spent my youth as a typical daughter of God, not understood by my family or fitting into the world at large. I kept pretty much to myself, and when I became a teen, I studied esoteric teachings, the occult and how to heal the body. I discovered the works of Edgar Cayce, a psychic healer, when I was quite young, and read everything I could find written about him and the information that came through him. I discovered the hidden teachings on reincarnation, which I had always known in my heart to be true and which my religious upbringing left out. I was quite active in my local church, being an altar girl, choir member and Sunday school teacher. But I knew in my heart there was more to life than what my church taught me.

I met my first husband when I was 17, married and went on to have four children with him. I found Saint Germain and the teachings of the ascended masters in 1979. I knew I had found my way to get back home. My marriage did not survive my spiritual life, which I had set aside for the years with my husband, who I discovered after marrying him that he was an agnostic.

It wasn't until I found the Teachings of the Ascended Masters that I started tangibly hearing the answers to my prayers from God, through the Ascended Masters. I took up the spiritual practice of decreeing, reciting mantras and prayer and I started receiving answers, answers that saved my life and family from harm, or gave me direction in important matters in my life. But I never pursued trying to hear God, it just came to me during my prayer work, or during times of danger.

In 1989 I settled in the spiritual community in Montana. It wasn't until 1996, when I started my healing practice that I started using my intuition and abilities to help others. From a young woman, I had wanted to be a healer, and not a doctor of the body, but a doctor of the soul. I pursued a degree in psychology, (which I didn't complete in order to raise my six children) as that was the only profession that I knew of, at the time of the '60's, to heal souls.

Because of the culture of the community I lived and worked in during the 90's, I began to be concerned that my communication and intuition was unlawful in the eyes of God. Because I was willing to follow the inner direction and not just the outer, those who were "letter of the law" people would judge and condemn me for my willingness to Be. But I did not understand the inner path then, I only knew that I had to be obedient to the inner guidance over the outer. So I sought ways to avoid the condemnation by praying and asking guidance from the Masters and my Higher Self. Although I had done this naturally as long as I could remember, I was more concerned that I was not following the Will of God. Although the Great White Brotherhood has admonished us time and again to listen to the voice within, use and develop our inspiration, (which is our Higher Self) and to thereby, sometimes entertain angels, I was growing more concerned every day. There was and are many psychic channelers and I knew the unlawfulness of participating willingly in the psychic or astral realm. But that was not my way, as my love and heart's desire was to commune with God and only God through the heavenly hosts.

Although I trusted the voice within, and for many years followed my inner guidance, I had to battle with doubt, as I thought I had no sure way to prove to myself or anyone else, that I was really communicating with God Beings through the Light. But when our family moved out of the protected spiritual community we had lived in for almost ten years, and moved into a city, I began to feel the negative energies of the world. I felt interference from psychic forces and began to distrust my inner guidance. Was it really God in me? Was it dark forces, astral beings, even UFO interference?

Because of my fear, and the inability to trust the voice within anymore, I was given a great initiation that subsequently cut me off from my love of my heart, and direct contact with the Ascended Masters. For the next two years, I ignored the prompting's of my heart and tried to live as normal, not listening to the voice within, even my God Self. I felt as if the real self of me had died. But something kept me from forcing this communication with the higher realms. I strictly worked with my Higher Self through my healing techniques I had been doing for many years and trusted 100% and I started to let go of all outer spiritual practices that did not fit in with my life.

We had moved to Utah, under the direction of Spirit, and I went out into the world and started working. I continued my healing practice on the side, and occasionally worked on myself. It was during one of those sessions that I received the words, "You are being selfish!" and I then realized that I couldn't continue this way anymore and needed to find that "peace that passeth all understanding" within my heart and find the truth that sets you free. It wasn't until years later that I discovered that this period of darkness was the dark night of the Spirit. I had let go of all my attachments to the things of this world and outer rituals and practices that I was told I had to do through others and religious organizations.

I then pursued, under the disciplines and personal tutorage of the Ascended Master El Morya and others, the path of personal Christhood and the subsequent initiations under the Ruby Ray. I could hear the masters through my heart, once again, and I started developing my own daily spiritual practices that came from a desire from within to do, not from being told from the outer. I also traveled out of state to attend healing courses and received further training on the soul, the inner child and the Higher Self.

In 2002 my work and studies took me to a new higher level. Helping others realize their love for God and that all knowledge and teachings comes from the One Source, God. I would have my opportunity to do this an organization I was spiritually guided to form, called The Shangra-la Mission. I was also blessed to receive, from the heart of the Great Divine Director, a cosmic Being, teachings on Being, what being God really means, what is God's love and what is the More, and then give these teachings on Being to the hearts open to receiving them.

That was the beginning of my outer awareness that I was being trained for a mission that went far beyond the healing of the soul as I knew it. I was later asked by the Great Karmic Board (a spiritual board made up of seven ascended cosmic beings) while in my finer body, to be the their messenger for the Great White Brotherhood.

I had been working with the Great Divine Director for many years before I discovered that he was much closer to me than I realized. After much work and disciplines and obedience to the Will of God, we bonded in the ritual of the alchemical marriage in the I AM Presence. We have since worked together, one on earth and the other in Heaven, to bring assistance to souls through guidance and the understanding that their Divine purpose here on earth is to be God and in that acceptance, we bring God into the physical realm, into our world, where He can only enter by man's free will.

My work takes me into new discoveries almost daily. I am constantly finding new ways to heal and help others. I continue to deliver the Word of the Ascended Hosts as they direct, and teach what I learn, under the guidance of the Higher Self, one with Cosmic Beings. As the days and years go by, the many small miracles of change occur in the lives of those around me. I see the workings of God as He delivers the healings through the Beings of Light in heaven who work closely with us here on earth. I await to see many more miracles that will follow to those who will to Be! And for even those who do not have the will, that they too, will enter that place of Being and find that peace that passeth all understanding.

Today we work together as a spiritual community, the Sangha of the Buddha. It is wonderful to be a part of the Shangra-la Mission and the people who make this a vibrant, Living Christ heart-centered spiritual people. We welcome those of the heart to enter and partake of our cup of spiritual gifts.
